2006 BOOMTOWN “UNOAKED” CHARDONNAY WITH 4% SAUVIGNON BLANC

Ah, Boomtown Chardonnay! We’ve decided to feature this delicious, refreshing, delectable wine on our homepage. I can’t tell you how happy we are to offer it. Chad and Corey at Dusted Valley have always been great to work with, producing vintage after vintage of kick butt wines. And now there’s a whole new line of Boomtown wines that are so ridiculously priced it feels almost like giving away gold.

For those of you who made our Bling & Wine event, you were able to try the stuff. We sold through our entire stock that night. Now we’ve got more on hand and have placed it in a most prominent position. Front and center. Loud and Proud!

One more plug: Wine & Spirits listed Boomtown as one of the top 100 value brands of 2008, for what it’s worth. We’re not huge into the numbers game here. But we agree that this wine is a great buy. And that’s all I have to say about that.

Silly title? Perhaps. But the fun is totally serious!

We are proud to present an exhibit (and artist reception) this Thursday, May 22, from 7-9 p.m. On display will be new jewelry creations by Rootielicious.

We will also be tasting some of our new featured wines. (Hint hint: Special discounts are available!)

Support your local artists and winemakers and come play with us!

The Office Premier

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

No, I’m not talking about the television show, although my sister Sonja would be thrilled if I were. I’m talking about our Walla Walla Wine Cellar office finally being done. Hooray! After some good old-fashioned sweat, a few tears, and a lot of love, our office is now fully functional. We’ve got the climate controlled storage, all shipping supplies, all paperwork and licenses in order, and… most importantly… plants. Yes, I have plants in the office. Keep that oxygen coming.

Customer Service Center. Check.
Billing Department. Check.
Shipping Center. Check.

You get the idea.

However, we had to laugh at ourselves while looking at one of our shelves of wine and realizing what it said about our own personal tastes. Crystal pointed to a bottom shelf and said, “I guess my obsession shows.” (K Vintners fan, anyone?) What can we say; we love these wines! Though many of the bottles are in cases, some of the inventory is visible, mostly because it makes us so happy to look it.

(Bonus points if you can name all of these wines.)

For our opening, we’ve invited a some friends, selected some fabulous Walla Walla wines with which to celebrate, and we are preparing for a lot more time spent in the office–getting stuff done.

And soon we will be announcing our new featured wines… with a special bonus! So stay tuned.
